Our Space
Our home is on a quiet, one-way street. The children will use the first floor which includes the living room, kitchen, classroom, and playroom. We will also use the front and back yards.
Classroom Environment
Our classroom space is calm and peaceful. The natural sunlight warms the room, especially in the afternoon. The shelves are full of materials that are engaging and educational. The children have a variety of options for how and where to do their work, whether it be at the table, by the floor table, or on the floor with a rug. Our aquarium is a beautiful addition for the children to observe and enjoy.
The Playroom
Our Playroom is a simple room with several dramatic play options. We have a wide selection of toys available for the children and toys will also be rotated so the children have wide variety to play with.
Outdoors
Rest Period
The children will rest in both the classroom and playroom areas. After our morning work time, the spaces will be tidied to create room for cots. Each child has an individual cot with a sheet and pillow. We will dim the lights and play soft music or sounds to create an even more calming space for resting.
Meals and Snack
The children will either eat in the classroom space at our group table, or in the kitchen at the dining table. Sometimes, we will eat lunch or snack outside, weather permitting.
